Manage Your Empower Network Time Using the Pareto Principle

One of the most appreciated qualities of being in Empower Network is the ability to own your own time. Some members have increasingly used this to their advantage when they are working on their own.

Apply the 80/20 CFO rule – yes, you can call yourself the CFO or your own Chief Financial Officer now. While you spend some time planning your goals for the year and determining what is really wasting your time or what maximizes it, try applying the Pareto Principle.

The Pareto Principle, although very popular in the world of generating revenue, is described as the 80/20 principle. It means that one can achieve 80% of the results from the 20% of activity produced. The same principle should also hold true in time management.

What does this mean?

Understanding time management that will work with the 80/20 principle means that you must shift your ways of managing your production by making certain you produce quality results. You may have been spending 8 hours on a job that does not achieve the desired outcome you were aiming for. If you have been doing overtime on activities that have not really generated revenue, traffic or engagement to your market, change course.

Qualify your workload.

If you can labor over tasks that will bring great success for you by using only 20% of your time, then this method will jumpstart your goals. Try these simple tasks that will veer you towards the 80/20 principle:

USE LISTS. Organize, plan and outline your activities. Remember those lists that you also marked as back burner lists? Go back to those. When you tend to generate a lot of ideas yet hardly act on them, it burns you out. Organize these ideas by topic and check on the ones that you have made into projects and eliminate the ones that you didn’t really make any effort into mobilizing at all. Twice a month should do this trick.

PRIORITIZE. Work on the top level tasks that require high priority then work your way down.

REPORT SIGNIFICANTLY. Which metrics and statistics matter most to your boss or your staff? If they only require three or four analytics categories, use only those. Just because you have been sending those reports all the time does not mean they are always essential. Will anyone really consider those metrics important? Eliminate and simply.

Here are Empower Network, everyone has their own thing yet everyone is extremely busy enough to remember what is essential in their daily grind – spread the news and have people join you in the revolution in gaining financial freedom.

If you follow the Patero Principle, you will definitely have a better chance of focusing on what really is important.

With so many schools of thought on this, there are so many Empower Network blogs that just waste so much online space in this industry when they could be maximizing the resources that they have.
